Situated on the main A58 road, on the east side of Heywood, just 5 minutes from the M62 motorway, our Mill Shop and warehouse is accommodated in a former Co-op shop of distinctive appearance. Here you will be able to browse at leisure in our "Aladdin's cave" of quality professional yarns, all of which are available at very competitive prices.

We are easily reached from London, or other parts of the UK, by train to Manchester, Rochdale or Bolton.  From Manchester you can catch a Metrolink tram to Bury Interchange.

Bus route number 471, which runs between Bolton, Bury and Rochdale, passes the shop, which is a distinctive building on the corner of Rochdale Road East (A58) and Barley Hall Street.

Please note that a Google search will show Castleton as the nearest railway station. However there is no direct bus link and the walk is rather muddy and secluded so we do not recommend it.

Mill Shop opening times:

January to end of June and from September onwards

Fridays 10am to 5pm but other days possible by prior arrangement.  

Closing early on Good Friday, 29th March 2024, at 3pm.

In July and August visits are all by prior arrangement, Monday to Friday, to allow for maintenance and possibly holidays.
